Kildare drivers can help raise up to €6K for Irish Guide Dogs at motor event

The event will take place inside the Whitewater Shopping Centre
A little drive can go a long way!
Drivers in County Kildare and its surrounding areas are being encouraged to help raise up to €6,000 for Irish Guide Dogs at an upcoming event.
Ford Ireland is bringing its ‘Drive for your Community’ initiative to Kildare, giving local drivers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a brand-new Ford while raising vital funds for Irish Guide Dogs.
The event, which will take place in Newbridge, is part of Ford Ireland’s nationwide ‘Drive for your Community’ campaign, and is returning for its second year following the success of the 2025 initiative.
According to the motoring giant, last autumn, the campaign raised €26,310 for Irish Guide Dogs.
And this year, Ford has teamed up with the charity once again, with an expanded series of test-drive events taking place across Ireland.
For every valid test drive taken at the Kildare event, Ford has pledged to donate €30 to Irish Guide Dogs, with up to 200 test drives and a maximum donation of €6,000 per event.
In addition, local drivers will have the opportunity to experience Ford’s latest range of vehicles, including the All-Electric Explorer, All-Electric Capri and All-Electric Puma Gen-E, all while supporting a noble cause.
John Manning, Market Lead, Ford Ireland, said: “We’re incredibly proud to bring ‘Drive for your Community’ back for a second year following the fantastic response to the initiative in 2025.
”This year, we’re aiming to build on that success with even more events taking place across the country.”
Mr Manning concluded by summing it up succintly: “It’s a simple idea: take a test drive in a new Ford and help make a meaningful difference.”
The ‘Drive for your Community’ event will take place inside Whitewater Shopping Centre on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
