Being developed by Toyota Naas

Construction has begun on a major €5.8 million motor retail development in Naas, Co. Kildare, which will deliver a new showroom and vehicle servicing facility on a prominent site adjacent to the Bundle of Sticks Roundabout at Newhall.

The privately funded project, being developed by Monasterevin Motors Ltd trading as Toyota Naas, received planning approval in March 2026, with works beginning on site on June 23.

The development will comprise a one and two-storey motor sales showroom and vehicle service workshop with a combined gross floor area of approximately 2,877 square metres.

The main building will include vehicle sales areas, service bays, parts storage, offices, staff accommodation and customer facilities.

A separate single-storey web display and valet bay building measuring around 170 square metres also forms part of the scheme.

Extensive outdoor facilities are planned, including new and used vehicle display areas, demonstration spaces, vehicle storage areas and a canopied car wash.

Customer and staff parking will be provided, including electric vehicle charging points, alongside dedicated cycle parking facilities.

The development will feature a range of illuminated building and freestanding signs, including fascia signage, logo displays and totem signs designed to enhance the site's visibility from surrounding roads.

Sustainability measures have been incorporated into the project, including photovoltaic solar panels, sustainable urban drainage systems and landscaped public realm improvements. New pedestrian and vehicular access arrangements, a public footpath and bus stop connection to the R445, and associated drainage and utility infrastructure will also be delivered.

Designed by NODE Architecture, the development is expected to strengthen Toyota Naas' presence in the region while creating a modern retail and servicing destination for motorists across Kildare and the wider Midlands area.
