Tributes paid to Eamonn on RIP.ie include the following: “My Sincere Condolences to Margaret and All the Family. Eamonn will be sadly missed. He was Such a Gentleman Always. May his Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.”

And: “Prayers with Eamonn's family on this extremely hard time, what a great man may he RIP.”

While another mourner wrote: “Deepest condolences to Eamonn's family, particularly Margaret, Alan and Gary. Eamonn will be greatly missed by all at Lucan Golf Club, where his dedication and contributions will continue to benefit the club for many years to come. Rest in peace, Eamonn.”

And another added: “Sincere sympathy to Margaret and family on the sad loss of Eamon. Eamon was a warm, friendly and engaging gentleman. It was such a pity that Eamon did not physically witness the SWGS presence in Lucan GC some weeks ago. To see the car park full and the club house buzzing on a Monday throughout the day would be to Eamon's delight. Nevertheless I'm sure Eamon knew exactly what was happening that day!! Rest in peace Eamon.”
