The Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB), Naas and Newbridge Further Education and Training (FET) centres, hosted their annual awards night, to celebrate learner achievement, on Tuesday the 27th December in the Osprey Hotel, Naas.
A large number of major and minor component QQI awards were presented to learners on the night, across a wide array of subject areas, including Healthcare Support QQI Level 5, Early Childhood Care and Education QQI Level 5, Information Technology, English language certificates (ESOL), Horticulture, and Business Administration QQI Level 5.

Naas and Newbridge FET centres, offer a comprehensive range of part time adult education courses for adult learners of all ages. Courses are offered across a wide variety of subject disciplines and fields of learning. Our courses are designed to help learners to upskill and retrain, and to provide clear progression routes into employment, further education or higher education.

Our Adult Basic Education (ABE) service provides free and confidential help and support with reading, writing, spelling and numeracy, in small class groups, or on a 1:1 basis. English language classes are offered at various levels for speakers of other languages. Computers for beginners and improvers are designed to help learners with limited knowledge of computers.

Our Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) service offers certified QQI major awards across a wide variety of fields of learning, from level 2 to level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Courses are available in maths, horticulture, computers, culinary arts, healthcare, nutrition, childcare, payroll, book-keeping, retail sales and customer service.

All courses are now enrolling in Naas FETC and Newbridge FETC. For information on courses, please call to our open days in Naas FETC on the 14th and 15th January, or Newbridge FETC on the 16th and 17th January from 9.00am – 5pm or 7pm – 8pm.
