Kildare Camogie set for new dawn with the beginning of the National League
By Robert Cribbin 9:21 Sunday 17th of February 2019

The Kildare Camogie team begin their League campaign with a game against Tyrone at Manguard COE Hawkfield this afternoon.

Kildare find themselves in Division 3 after a few difficult seasons but under new management they are hopeful of a revolution of sorts.

Relegation and a poor championship campaign left the team in limbo at the end of 2018 but Peter Williams has stepped in to take on the manager's job.

Williams is a Dublin native and has been pretty successful in his managerial career and he has been asscoiated with the Moorefield club lately.

The team has been without a core of Johnstownbridge players who have won a couple of club All-Irelands over the last few years but a couple of them are now back on board as well as a new influx of young blood.

The new boss has already mentioned that winning the league is the aim so they will be hoping for a perfect start.

Throw-in for the game is at 2.00pm.
