GALLERY: Newbridge Musical Society Brings The Wedding Singer to the Stage  Newbridge Musical Society is bringing the fantastic Broadway musical comedy, The Wedding Singer, to the Newbridge College Theatre this week. Based on the hit 1998 Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer tells the story of Robbie Hart, lead singer of New Jersey’s most popular wedding band. When Robbie is left at the altar by his fiancée, his performances turn from life of the party into every newlywed’s nightmare. However, when he meets Julia, he starts to believe love has given him one more chance. There’s just one problem: she’s already engaged to a rich Wall Street broker. The Wedding Singer promises to have you laughing in your seats and dancing in the aisles, packed with songs that capture all of the fun and energy of the 1980s. So come and enjoy some big songs, huge laughs, and gigantic hair! The show runs from Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th of April in Newbridge College Theatre at 8pm nightly. Tickets are available from The Kiosk, Main Street, Newbridge or you can phone the booking line on 045 876234.    PHOTOS BY AISHLING CONWAY [caption id="attachment_216667" align="alignnone" width="300"] Rory Dignam, Fionán O’Carroll and Daniel Ryan[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216670" align="alignnone" width="300"] Kirstie Duggan's makeup demonstration[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216673" align="alignnone" width="300"] Clodagh Donnelly, Daniel Ryan, Lynn Carter and Hayley Campbell[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216674" align="alignnone" width="300"] Emma Kilduff and Hannah Ryan[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216675" align="alignnone" width="300"] Fionán O’Carroll,Rory Dignam and Rory Chadwick[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216676" align="alignnone" width="300"] Áine Foley and Jessie Adamson[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216677" align="alignnone" width="300"] Gill O'Brien and Linda Ashe[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216680" align="alignnone" width="300"] Adam and Mark Trundle with Gill O'Brien[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216681" align="alignnone" width="300"] Conor Kilduff and MC Dave McGauran[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216682" align="alignnone" width="300"] Tom Kavanagh and Hannah O’Grady[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216683" align="alignnone" width="300"] Eve Quinn, Eadaoin Hassett, Daniel Sinclair and Jade Hogan[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216684" align="alignnone" width="300"] Chris Holland, Rory Chadwick and Michael Gannon[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216685" align="alignnone" width="300"] Vanessa Cooke,Paula Conlan,Emma Dunleavy and Niamh Fitzgerald.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216686" align="alignnone" width="300"] Clodagh Donnelly,Cora Maher,Maeve Ryan,Keelin Kilduff and Hayley McCormack[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216687" align="alignnone" width="171"] Niamh Conlan[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216688" align="alignnone" width="200"] Lynn Carter[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216690" align="alignnone" width="300"] Keelin Kilduff who is playing Julia in the upcoming production of The Wedding Singer[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216691" align="alignnone" width="300"] Keelini Kilduff who is playing Julia, catches the bouquet[/caption] [caption id="attachment_216692" align="alignnone" width="281"] Adam Trundle[/caption]
