SNAs urgently needed for Kildare

North Cllr Frank O’Rourke is calling on Minister for Education Jan O’Sullivan to allocate much needed Special Needs Assistants (SNA’s) to fill vacant posts in Kildare schools, following a meeting with a number of concerned parents in North Kildare.Many SNA posts across Kildare schools remaining unfilled .Kildare has fewer than average Special Needs Assistance resource hours. There are just  eight students per one SNA resource hour in the county. The national average is six students per one SNA resource hour. There are 29, 135 Kildare students requiring additional supports, and 3,646.5 SNA resource hours.
