Wedding ring may be lost in Maynooth after 34 years on finger

A distressed woman has launched an appeal to find her husband’s wedding ring after 34 years on his finger. Urusla Purcell-D’Arcy believes the wedding ring may have been lost in Dunboyne Village or the Tesco in Maynooth yesterday. She said the ring has not left the finger of her husband, Declan, since the day she placed in there on their wedding day 34 years ago. Posting on social media, Ursula said: ‘Bit of a long shot here, but worth a try. Today, Declan sadly lost his wedding ring.’
‘Not sure where, but was in Dunboyne village, and also Tesco in Maynooth.’
‘Due to his illness, he has lost huge amount of weight, and ring just fell off. It is a plain gold band, and had not left his finger since I put it there 34 years ago. Would really love to find it.’
