The man being questioned over yesterdays death in Celbridge has been released without charge. Gardai have just confirmed a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions as their investigations will continuing. The victim Noel Winterlich, who had a partner and a young daughter, lived in nearby Hazelhatch Park area of the town and was visiting the property in Willowbrook Park. It is believed a row may have broken out after he was drinking and he sustained serious head injuries which led to his death. The latest fatality is the third violent death in the Co Kildare area in the past six weeks after Jason Doogue (22) was murdered in Athy in August 21 and Patsy Kelly (58) died after an assault in Naas 24 hours later. The house where Mr Winterlich's body was found is in a quiet cul de sac off Shackleton Road where other young families live.
Sources told KildareNow that Mr Winterlich is well-known to Gardai and had previous convictions.
