Not even the Pope would call you good - Judge to defendant

A Naas man with 17 previous convictions appeared before Naas District Court today. Patrick Coady (26) of Patrician Avenue, Naas faced road traffic charges which occurred in Naas on December 22 last year. Assessing Mr Coady's number of previous convictions, Judge Desmond Zaidan said: "Not even the Pope would call him good!" He added to Mr Coady: "You should be going to prison. You have 17 previous convictions." After considering the matter, the judge then issued fines and a driving ban to the defendant.
