Dozens of witnesses help gardai with probe into homeless Patsy killing, court hears

A 35-year-old man charged in connection with the death of a well-known homeless man in Naas appeared in court in Dublin this morning. Paul Gill of Sarto Road, Naas is charged with assault causing harm to Patsy 'Bud' Kelly (58) at Sarto Road on August 22. Cloverhill District Court in Dublin heard that investigating gardai are following several lines of inquiry and have taken a total of 105 statements from witnesses so far. Gill, who appeared in court dressed in a black shirt and jeans, remained silent during the brief hearing. Judge Victor Blake remanded Gill on continuing bail to appear at Cloverhill District Court again on November 20. More to follow...
