Co Kildare animal sanctuary nolonger facing Departmental investigation

Pauline-and-Melissa               A leading Co Kildare animal sanctuary which saved thousands of  hens from slaughter has escaped Department of Agriculture investigations. LittleHill Animal Sanctuary saved thousands of hens from two different egg production facilities. However,  yesterday Susan Anderson of the animal sanctuary was contacted by the Department of Agriculture, due to a complaint received about the high amount of hens that they had. Following this call, the sanctuary has now been informed that an investigation will not be necessary. Since August, the sanctuary successfully rescued and rehomed all of the hens  which were on their way to be slaughtered.
