Baldonnel singers and Army Band to headline gala evening in aid of the Curragh military museum
9 Nov 2015
There will be a gala evening held in St Brigid's Garrison Church at the Curragh Camp on Sunday 15 November and there is quite a line up for the night. The Baldonnel choir will be the first act on the night. The male choir has over 30 members and are well known throughout Ireland and have performed at the National Concert Hall and the Aviva Stadium in recent years. The Naas-based choir formed in 2003 and began with just a dozen or so members, eventually growing into the strong bang of singers that perform today. The Army No.1 Band will also perform on the night. Captain Fergal Carroll is the staff conductor and the band has played in places all over Europe over the past number of years. Special guests on the night will be tenor Paul Linehan and Mezzo-soprano Norah King. Tickets are €20 and are available from the Curragh Museum and other sources. All proceeds are in aid of the Curragh Military Museum.
