Traffic update: Multi-vehicle collision cleared but still causing delays on the M50

The crash on the M50 northbound at J11 northbound has been cleared to the hard shoulder but long delays persist on that section of motorway with a travel time of around 30 minutes between J14 Sandyford and J11 Tallaght. It remains very slow moving on the M7 southbound at the moment too, with delays starting as early as J5 Steelstown and continuing down to J9 Naas, while traffic is still quite heavy thereafter. Traffic coming through Sallins towards Naas is very slow moving, while it is also heavy going in the other direction. There are also delays on the Monread road stretching from the Sallins roundabout back as far as the Johnstown roundabout. Traffic in Newbridge has dwindled slightly in the past while, though it is still quite busy on the main street.
