The Moat Club is to stage its 35th consecutive annual pantomime early next month. Jack and the Beanstalk will be directed by veterans Michael and Padraig Broe and will be the fourth version of the fairytale by the theatre group. A spokeswoman said: "Putting on the pantomime pulls in all the members of the club. "The audience only sees the cast, but of course there is the technical and backstage crew, front of house and bar volunteers, costume department, and the creative team of the director, musical director, choreographer, set designer, builders, painters, dancers, prop makers …up to 60 people in all." Jack and the Beanstalk opens on Wednesday 2nd December and runs until Saturday 12th (no show on Monday 7th) but Saturdays are currently sold out.
