Sallins biker killed in tragic road crash 'was the best brother and son in the world'

A Sallins man killed in a traffic collision yesterday will be laid to rest on Friday. Tragic Shane McCormac (25) died when his motorcycle was in a collision with a van at Walterstown in Nurney at 6.15pm. He is survived by his mother and 'best friend' Grace, father Terry, brother Tommy and his many friends, relations and work mates. His family today paid warm tributes to their lost loved one in a death notice released this afternoon. The tender statement said: "Shane was the best brother and son in the world. "He cared for his family more then anything else. "He loved his bikes and all the friends he met and made through biking. He will be forever in our hearts." Shane's remains will repose at his home (private) until Friday morning. shane-mccormac-pic-2NEW Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady and the Guardian Angels Church, Sallins at 11am on Friday. He will be laid to rest afterwards in Bordenstown Cemetery.
