Maynooth fire station back in business after weekend floods

Maynooth Fire Station is operational today despite being flooded on Saturday evening. Record rainfall caused the nearby Royal Canal to burst its banks and localised flooding affected the Leinster Street premises. Kildare Fire Service said that water damage was caused to floors in the building but vehicles or equipment were not affected.
