Here's a first look at Aldi's swish new layout at their revamped Celbridge store

Aldi in Celbridge reopened its doors today to customers following extensive renovations over the last number of weeks. The reinvigoration of the Celbridge store is part of the company's planned €160 million investment across many of their Irish stores, where the 'Project Fresh' initiative will enhance the inside of their 130 existing stores through a €60 million investment, while the other €100 million will be spent on building 20 new stores.

Aldi’s Project Fresh store layout was recognised at the 2017 Checkout National Retail Supplier Awards, as the innovative design scooped the Best New Store Build award for Aldi’s Ennistymon store, which was one of Aldi’s first Irish stores to be modelled on the Project Fresh design.

With the new features, Aldi’s Celbridge store now offers nearly 20 per cent more fridge space, a wide selection of fresh food at the front of the store, hi-spec fixtures and fittings and new signage that provides a more efficient and hassle-free shopping experience. There are also 166 free car parking spaces available.

Speaking at the reopening, Ioana Acatinca, Manager at Aldi’s Celbridge store said: “Following extensive refurbishment work over the past week, we are delighted to reopen our new Project Fresh store.  The whole Aldi team is looking forward to welcoming customers from the locality, both existing and new.  We are confident our customers will find the new store provides a more enjoyable and spacious shopping experience.”

“At Aldi our commitment to our customers is that we will never be beaten on price.  Families can make huge savings on their weekly shopping bill by shopping at our stores.”
