Stylicious: Kildare Now & Kildare Post review ziaja skincare - all your skincare needs for under €50!

s   Seriously Readers, ziaja is a skincare range I came across last month, yet another natural product range claiming to do wonderful things, and now available in outlets across Co Kildare. ‘Focus on Skincare’ by zjaja presented several skin and body lotions, exfoliators, cleansers, etc for Yours Truly to try out. I thought I was seeing things when I read the price range, from 69 cent to €9.99! Being a regular swimmer, I took the natural olive body lotion – incredibly only €5.99 per 400ml bottle with a pump cap – with me to my local leisure centre and over the week, asked a few more ladies to try out the lotion. The cream feels heavier than many of their perfumed competitors but it is quickly absorbed into the skin. I’m using it regularly now and I feel it is certainly moisturising my dehydrated skin after a swim and dip in the Jacuzzi. 400ml for only €5.99! No colourants or perfume, and made from natural olive extract. I’m totally sold……. Next up I started using Sensitive Skin Day Cream with SPF 20 protection against UVA and UVB sun rays, this is ideal for maturing skin (50+). Retailing at only €6.99/50ml), it is described as a “pure and gentle emulsion cream with long lasting moisturisation and protective properties for sensitive, dry and itchy skin”. It further helps to eliminates redness and burning sensation providing immediate soothing effect. I also tried their Nahrcreme, which is my favourite product. It almost feels like Sudocream; it only requires a little cream patted around the face and wow, your skin will feel silky for hours afterwards. I tried a Marine Algae smoothing enzyme peel – only €4.49 per 60ml. It claims to resurface the skin, and “restore vibrancy without irritation”. I love face masks and exfoliators but at my age, I find many of the exfoliation creams are too harsh on maturing skin and can often heighten not reduce redness. This when applied felt like a face wash, light but it didn’t irritate or itch. There are hand creams, and varying body oils and lotions, all made from natural extracts but the prices are unbelievable! Who or what is ziaja? It’s pronounced ‘Ji-Ya’.  Rhymes with ‘try a’ or ‘buy a’ ziaja! Created by Polish pharmacists Aleksandra and Zenon Ziaja, the company was founded in 1989; it’s the market leader for skincare in Poland and is now a trusted brand in 32 countries across the world. With over 1,000 products, it literally caters for women at every stage of life, and her family too as ziaja now caters for babies and children too! ziaja products are NOT tested on animals and are formulated with signature ingredients like natural olive, cocoa butter, marine algae, cucumber, orange butter, goats milk complex, rose butter along with proven active ingredients like hyaluronic acid, collegen, long-lifting proteins, ceramides, squalene - the very same ingredients found in many premium skincare brands. The Top Sellers in Ireland include their goat’s milk range, cupuacu and jasmine anti-ageing ranges with the new Manuka tree purifying night cream recommended if you’re suffering from breakouts. ziaja is now available in Shaw’s of Duke Street, Athy and Shaw’s in Portlaoise; at Walshe’s Pharmacy in Tesco Shopping Centre, Celbridge or alternatively, online at www.orinignalbeauty.ie Just to reiterate, everything in the ziaja range is priced from 0.69 cents to €9.99!
