Friel's of Straffan - perfect stop-off for a family meal or refreshing drink during Easter holidays

Photos by John Rapple
Friel's Of Straffan, just a stone's throw from the famous K Club, has been serving the local community for over four decades - after being first established as far back as 1974.
The family-run venue has a perfect location at Baybush on the busy R403 between Clane and Celbridge and offers plenty of free roadside parking.
The premises draws many loyal customers from surrounding areas like Straffan, Clane, Celbridge, Maynooth and Rathcoffey.
Family-friendly dining
Friel's of Straffan has gained a very strong reputation for its restaurant-standard food.
And its family-friendly atmosphere.
Food is served from Monday to Sunday from 12.30pm to 8pm and the a la Carte Menu includes popular favourites like Steak, Lamb Shank and Chicken Curry.
Kids' meals are also very well catered for and menu items like pasta and chicken goujons are among the most sought after.
Customers return again and again for the wholesome, value-for-money casual dining.
Good Friday
Everybody is welcome tomorrow - for Good Friday - to help celebrate bars and restaurants selling alcohol for the first time in almost 100 years.
Family events
Family events are always welcome such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christenings, Communions and Confirmations.
As well as the spacious main Bar, Friel's has a 80-seat Lounge and a smaller Lounge with a cosy fire.
Music
The regular live traditional music sessions are also famous at the venue.
It's also a great location to enjoy big sporting events on the large TV screens.
Community events
Friel's of Straffan is also hired for local community events as the business is firmly rooted in its community and helps to sponsor events such as the Straffan Fun Run earlier this month.
