Umit, who moved to Ireland from Istanbul more than a decade ago, has already seen his designs worn by Amy Huberman, Enya, Una Healy, Kathryn Thomas and Amanda Byram on RTE's Dancing With The Stars show (below). 
In a public interview at Kildare Village this morning, Umit told an audience that he is inspired by everyday life and likes to design garments that are ageless and timeless. 
Umit loves to inject bold colours into his designs and many are ideal for a Day at the Races or for a Wedding. 
Born into a family steeped in the clothing industry, he came to Ireland to study English several years ago and fell in love with the country.
He later decided to study fashion and went on to graduate from the Grafton Academy in 2011.
In 2012 he opened his own haute couture salon in Merrion Square for private clients and brides.
