Here are locations of Garda speed checks in Kildare

The Garda's National Slow Down Day is continuing across Kildare and the entire country until 7am tomorrow morning.
Several motorists have already been detected breaking the speed limit including the R445 in Ballymany, Newbridge.
Gardai have openly published a list of the 48 locations where the 24-hour speed checks may be taking place in Co Kildare.
The GPS co-ordinates of the locations (below) are freely available on the official Garda website here.
 
 The speed checks are being carried out by Gardai and GoSafe speed vans on Motorways as well as National, Regional and Local routes.
The locations are chosen for their history of previous collisions.
The co-ordinates can be keyed into any website such as https://www.latlong.net  to covert them into addresses.
Almost 10,000 vehicles checked 
The "Slowdown” operation began at at 7am this morning and will continue until 7am  tomorrow morning.
Since 7am, An Garda Síochána and GoSafe have checked the speed of 9,818 vehicles.
A total of 26 vehicles were detected travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit.
Aims of Slow Down Day
Gardai said the aim of "Slow Down Day” is to remind drivers of the dangers of speeding, increase compliance with speed limits and act as a deterrent to driving at excessive or inappropriate speed.
The objective is to reduce the number of speed related collisions, save lives and reduce injuries on our roads.
The vast majority of drivers are safe and are complying with the speed limit, with a compliance rate of 99.7%.
