The premises is just a short stroll from the town centre as well as local bus stops and the train station. Name Agapé (Pronounced 'A-GAP-AY') comes from the Greek meaning Unconditional Love. The early Christians once used it as their name for "Love Feast" "We eat to only appease our hunger, we drink only so much as it is good for our temperate to do so" Menu Agapé has a vastly extensive menu of Soups, Sandwiches, Ciabattas and Salads, to suit every taste and style. Tanya uses her culinary flair to add a creative twist to lots of new and traditional dishes.
Plenty of Gluten Free and Vegan options are also available. Coffee Many customers believe Agapé has the best coffee in Kildare Town! Its Italian-made Lavazza brews are a big part of its very busy takeaway business.
As part of a unique recycling initiative, Agapé also sells ‘Keep Cups’ which offer handy discounts to customers. You get a free Coffee when you buy a 12oz Keep Cup (€13) or a 16oz Keep Cup (€14). Then you get 10 cent off each subsequent coffee with the Keep Cups. Breakfast A favourite among workers rushing to their offices is take away Porridge which comes with Banana and Honey or Fresh Fruit, Almonds and Honey.
Popular dishes include the Peri Peri Breakfast Ciabatta which consists of Grilled Tomato, Scrambled Eggs, Smoked Cheese and Peri Peri Sauce. Apapé recent started offering its Breakfast Menu throughout the day which has gone down a treat.

Every day has tasty Menu Specials and Tuesday of this week featured Smoked Pulled Ham (above) with Rocket, Emmental Cheese, Tomato and Pickled Cucumber from local award-winning Gibney’s Garden Preserves. The Soup of the Day is very reasonably priced at €5.50 quirky recipes include Cauliflour Fennel with Chives or Spicy Sweet Potato with Chorizo. Customers can also add a Cup of Soup to any Meal for just €2.95. The famous Sloppy Joe consist of Spicy Chilli Beef, Mixed Leaves and Mayo and topped with Cheese served on a Toasted Ciabatta. Wines Agapé offers two wines for customers - A Red Santa Luisa from Chile as well as a White Pinot Grigio. Desserts The selection includes: Deep Apple Pie, Death by Chocolate, Banoffi and Trio of Ice creams. Corporate Catering Agapé has built up an impressive list of clients for its Corporate Catering service. Tanya and her team have worked with large and small corporate businesses in the local area.
Tanya can also supply food for family occasions such as Communions, Confirmations, Birthdays and other big events. Groups Apapé can cater very effectively for small or large groups. Time to visit!
