Photo GALLERY: Kildangan GAA organises successful fundraising night at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium

(Pictures by: Michael Higgins) Kim O'Leary Kildangan GAA Club recently had a fundraising night at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium on Friday 15 June to raise some much needed funding for the popular local club-with the attendants having been invited to bring their own dogs with them on the night! In a statement Kildangan GAA said that the night was 'a great success'. They said: "We held a very well attended Night at the Dogs in Newbridge Greyhound Stadium last Friday night. We would like to say thank you to everyone who travelled over and hope you had a very enjoyable evening.  Of course, these nights cannot go ahead without a lot of planning, work and support. We are very grateful to our race sponsors, and those who took out advertisements in the race card, all of whom are mentioned below. As always, we would ask that our members continue to show their support to these local businesses." "Our committee put in a big effort in making sure the night was a success. Special mention goes to Liam and Noreen O'Donovan for their expertise in organising the event, as well as our secretary Michael Higgins who was on photography duty. Nora O'Donovan and Mary Cullen were also on hand with their cameras, and you can see a selection of photographs from the night below. Our senior team also did their best to sell as many tickets as possible, and a number of our committee members also sold raffle tickets on the evening for a 32-inch Smart TV.   [caption id="attachment_232249" align="alignnone" width="300"] ildangan GAA 1 L to R Des Smith, Trainer, Liam O'Connor owner and James McGuinness, Kennel Hand with the winning dog DOONANES BARN.[/caption]
