Parishioners came together recently for the Farewell Mass for Fr. Manuel Karipot and Br. Titus Rancy of the Carmelite Church in Kildare Town. The Church is a beautiful building and attracts large attendances for Masses. It’s also popular for Christenings, weddings and funerals. The Carmelite Order has been in Kildare since 1290. The Order has its origin in a group of hermits on Mount Carmel in Palestine or modern Israel.
