Rose of Tralee contestants hosted in The Orchard, Celbridge

Celebrating 30 years in business, The Orchard Home Garden and Cafe were honoured to be chosen as the 1st Destination to play host to the  2018 Roses of Tralee, as they prepare to embark on their Rose Tour.

Owner, Gerry Dooley and his team were onsite to welcome each every Rose to this multi award winning destination. In addition to the Roses of Tralee, guests at the event included:  The Mayor Of Kildare, Cllr Sean Power, the Celbridge Tourism Committee, The Celbridge Tidy Towns Committee, The Kildare Chamber of Commerce, The Rose of Tralee Committee, The Celbridge Business Association, Rye River Valley Brewing Company,local Councillors, customers and friends of the Orchard The Roses were treated to a real Taste of the Orchard which included: A Weber BBQ Demo with specialist Mark Doe , a Summer Garden Story showcase, and the launch of the Tipperary Crystal New Season Collections. Specifically the event marked the launch of Rose Week at The Orchard with a host of events planned for the coming weeks. Post showcase, guests enjoyed the surroundings of the stunning Walled Garden for a sumptuous Rose BBQ hosted by the Orchard Cafe and BBQ.     Amidst the beauty of stunning Roses, apple trees and the flowers of the Season, John Forde, renowned Kildare entertainer, serenaded the Roses with host of memorable songs. The Mayor of Kildare - Sean Power provided the formal address for the event and communicated that The Orchard is indeed one of Kildare`s premier destinations with a real sense of Community at it`s essence.  He commended the work of MD. Gerry Dooley and his team in creating such a memorable location. The Roses will now embark on their Rose of Tralee Festival Tour across Kildare in the coming weeks.
