The well-known Kildare House Hotel in Kildare Town has been put up for sale. The large hotel has been brought to the market by Dowling Property, and a price of €1.1 million has been slapped on the property. The hotel was recently renovated inside the last four years, and it now consists of 21 en-suite bedrooms. There is also a 200-seater ballroom on site, along with two bars and a restaurant. The hotel restaurant ‘The Gallops’ is popular among racing fans attending meetings at the Curragh Racecourse, with the location of the hotel ensuring it is an ideal destination for racegoers. The hotel is well-known throughout Kildare and is one of the landmark buildings in Kildare Town. The nearby presence of Kildare Village ensures that it is a busy destination at this time of year as shoppers arrive to get their bits and pieces ahead of Christmas. The availability of the hotel on the market is sure to attract plenty of attention, with the auctioneers describing it as a ‘rare investment opportunity’.
