By Kim O'Leary The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is delighted to announce that country star Michael English is coming home to his native Kildare for a special Christmas Party Night Dance in aid of the charity. For one night only, country singer Michael English and his band will perform at the Celbridge Manor Hotel next Tuesday 18 December. The night is in support of Kildare charity The Jack & Jill Foundation and the night will include a 4-course meal, dancing and plenty of spot prizes to be won. Tickets for the 4-course meal and dance cost €50 and those who can’t make the dinner can attend the dance paying €15 at the door. Speaking to KildareNow ahead of the very special Christmas Party Night Dance, Michael English said: “The Jack & Jill Foundation is very close to my heart, they do fantastic work and last year I did a concert in support of them. They do so much for families and children at a very difficult time for them especially at Christmas now, and any support to help ease the burden would be hugely appreciated.” The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides direct funding to families of children up to the age of five who suffer sever intellectual and physical developmental delay, enabling them to purchase home respite care. The charity also provides end-of -life care for all children up to the age of five years old. Michael said: “It promises to be a fantastic night so I’m inviting everyone, country music fans together with all music lovers to join us for this very special concert. People can come for dinner or they can just come for the dance.” Michael is set to be very busy over the festive season with performances almost every night all over the country, and the concert in aid of Jack & Jill in Celbridge will be his only concert in Kildare. However, the proud Castledermot native is setting aside some time to spend the a couple of days with family in Castledermot in the run-up to Christmas. In terms of his plans for the new year, Michael will be busy gigging around Europe and he is also set to release a new album in February. He said: “On January 1, I will be performing at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel in Carlow for the New Year’s Day Dance and we’ve got a lot more concerts coming up in 2019 in Scotland, Spain, America, and then there’s a new album coming in February.” Tickets are €50 for the Celbridge Manor Hotel Christmas Party Night starting at 8pm on Tuesday December 18 and tickets are available from the reception or by contacting Carmel Aspell on 086-3544858. All proceeds from the sale of the tickets will go to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.
