Naas girl gets to final of Britain's Next Top Model contest

A Naas native has made it into the final of Britain's Next Top Model. DIT graduate Alannah Beirne (23) is the only Irish girl among the 12 contestants on the show on Lifetime TV channel. The assistant bar manager said today: "I'm finally able to reveal my big news - I have made it as a finalist on this year's Britain's Next Top Model! The 6ft Irish beauty comes from a family of musicians and often plays the flute in front of crowds. The Eadestown resident, whose mum is 1983 Rose of Tralee winner Brenda Hyland, is also a keen painter in her spare time. Alannah added: "It's been a whirlwind and I can't wait for you all to tune in and follow my journey through the show when it airs on 16th March! " As the only Irish gal on the show I'll be super appreciative of all the support I can get as I battle it out against the other gorgeous gals!! She added: "Here's to the next few months of fun!"
