77% increase in the amount of patients on trolleys in Naas Hospital today

The number of people on trolleys in Naas General Hospital increased by a massive 77 per cent over the last 24 hours, with 25 people currently lying on trolleys in the Kildare hospital today.

That represents an increase of 11 people compared to yesterday when there were just 14 patients on trolleys in the hospital, making the figures in Naas among the highest in the country, with just Letterkenny Hospital, St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny and University College Hospital Galway having higher figures.

The highest figures recorded out of all of those hospitals is in Letterkenny where 33 patients are on trolleys.

The figures have been steady in Naas during the week up to this point, with number ranging from 11-15 from Monday to Thursday.
