8 units of Dublin Fire Brigade respond to domestic fire as 3 people are injured

Dublin Fire Brigade have been battling a large blaze at a domestic property in Rathmines since around 7am.

The fire has left three people injured and has led to the closure of Grove Road, where the property is located.

A massive effort from Dublin Fire Brigade led to eight units responding to the scene to battle with the inferno in the south Dublin town, and they have now extinguished the fire. All persons who were in the property have been accounted for by emergency services, though independent.ie report that three people have been injured.

Dublin Fire Brigade have confirmed that one person is in a serious condition following the fire.

The road is currently closed and a stop/go system along the Grand Canal between Harold's Cross and Portobello is currently in operation.
