An Garda Síochána is now seeking 800 new Gardaí as part of the Garda Trainee recruitment campaign.
The campaign closes at 3pm, Wednesday 6th June.

Applicants must be 18, but not yet 35 years old on midnight of the closing date for the competition.
A rigorous selection procedure will be in place to “test whether you have the qualities necessary to become a successful member of An Garda Siochana.”
To get through the application process, you must be of good health, physically and mentally ready to perform duties, as well as passing passed a Physical Competence Test.
In terms of education, you must have “a proven proficiency in two languages, one of which must be Irish or English.”
You must also have an Irish Leaving Cert with a grade D3 minimum in five subjects at ordinary level or a Level 5 Certificate on the National Framework of Qualifications.
You could also enter if you have a recognised qualification -a t level 5 or greater – deemed comparable to the previous two requirements in terms of both level and volume of learning as determined by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
