90-year-old Co Kildare man forced to watch on as home is ransacked

A 90 -year-old man is left shaken after his Co Kildare home was ransacked while he watched on in fear.

Gardaí in Co Kildare are appealing for information on the burglary earlier this week in Castledermot.

It is understood that three men knocked on the door of the pensioner’s home on Thursday, November 10.

Three men, described as all having ‘local accents’, entered the home and proceeded to ransack it.

Garda Paul Connaughton outlined how one man had a scarf on his face, another had a shaved head while another man had a hat.

According to the pensioner, one man was about 6ft, another was about 5’’8 while the other was approximately 5’’7.

Appeals are in place for information on  a silver Toyota Avensis.
