All social housing units purchased by Maynooth Municipal District still 'unavailable for letting'

Kildare County Council have issued an update on a number of homes purchased by the Maynooth Municipal District in 2017 that are aimed for the purpose of social housing.

A total of 13 homes were purchased by the Maynooth Municipal District this year, and Cllr Tim Durkan asked the council what progress had been made on the turning around of the units and when they would become available for applicants on the housing waiting list. The response of the council outlined how none of the units are available for letting as of yet.

"The following table outlines the current progress on the number of houses purchased in the Maynooth Municipal District in 2017," read the response from the council.

Clane- 3 units; Works ongoing- unavailable for letting.

Derrinturn- 2 units; Preparing Schedule of Works- unavailable for letting

Kilcock- 1 units; Preparing Schedule of Works- unavailable for letting

Maynooth- 6 units; Works ongoing- unavailable for letting.

Prosperous- 1 unit; Preparing Schedule of Works- unavailable for letting
