Army does extensive clean-up of Curragh Plains

The Defence Forces Training Centre personnel have taken part in an extensive clean-up operation of the Curragh Plains Area.

The initiative was in cooperation with Kildare County Council’s Clean-Up this weekend.

Kildare County Council wants everybody to help tidy up across the county tomorrow.

April is National Spring Clean Month and people are being asked to organise a clean up of their local estate, a local road, local sports field or any public space in Kildare,

The council would like to encourage everybody to get involved in what we hope will be the biggest clean up the county has ever seen!

Even if you can only commit an hour, it would really make a difference to cleaning up our county from the blight of litter.

Council staff can provide some bags and litter pickers, and remove the collected waste by arrangement in the week after the clean up.
