A former rugby player and Ireland AM presenter is asking fans to report fake advertisements featuring his likeness.
Tommy Bowe posted on Instagram yesterday (Monday November 20) to warn followers about fake images featuring his likeness which appear to show him being arrested.
The posts are being shared online in what he believes is an attempt to scam people.
He shared a screenshot of one of the posts in question on his Instagram stories, accompanied by the following comment: "I see the scammers are back again! If you come across can you please report and send onto me."
He also shared another post showing a collage of fake ads which feature captions such as 'Career jeopardised' and 'RTÉ One management refuses to comment'.
The presenter isn't the first Irish celebrity whose likeness has been used recently.
Donegal crooner, Daniel O'Donnell, recently warned fans not to engage with fake social media pages pretending to be manned by Daniel himself.
A slew of pages popped up following the death of his mother-in-law.
He recently (November 13) warned fans again as efforts by scammers to con his fans continue.
