A dance team from a well-known performing arts group based in Newbridge are set to appear on a popular TG4 television programme.
Fusion 9, who are from KNC Performing Arts Company, will be among the dancing teams vying for the coveted winning title.
They will feature in the fifth episode of the series, on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
According to the showrunners: "TG4 and Adare Productions are looking for the next big thing in the World of Irish Dancing.
"Fantastic performers of all styles of traditional dance will entertain the viewers; from step dancers, Sean-Nós dancers to set dancers, even a fusion of all styles will be seen.
"There are no age restrictions on the dancers: young and old and everything in between will be showing us their moves! Solo dancers, duos and groups.

"Keeping a close eye on all the talented hopefuls are our three judges, all experts in the field of Irish dance; standing in for Labhras Sonaí Choilm Learraí for the another episode is dance artist, performer and teacher Sibéal Davitt (Dublin) as she joins Úna Ní Fhlatharta (Maynooth, Kildare) and Ronan O’Connell (Galway-Cairde Dance Company)."
The showrunners continued: "Presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc, the series will feature dancers and groups from many counties across the country, including: Westmeath, Kildare, Galway, Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry, Wicklow, Mayo, Cork, Leitrim, Laois, Meath, Donegal, Derry, Antrim and Down.
"Each week will feature different dancers as they battle it out with showstopping numbers in the hopes of reaching the finale to be crowned winners of An Ríl Deal.
"The fifth episode features exciting entertainers from Dublin – Sean Lawlor (Glasthule), Scoil Rince Dunphy (Dunphy School of Irish Dancing - Glasthule) and Rhys, Troy & Faith Watson Ormond (Swords).
"The episode also features Fusion 9, Rinceoirí Seite Kilcummin (Kilcummin, County Kerry), Emily Costigan (Mountmellick, County Laois) and Oriana Perez Ponce (Navan, County Meath, originally from Chile).
"This is the ultimate free-for-all Irish dance competition and a celebration of all the Irish dancing traditions."
"Let the battle of the dance commence!," they concluded.
