Irish Coldplay fans get email on how to nab €20 tickets for sold-out Croke Park gigs
Eager Coldplay fans hoping to nab tickets to their sold-out Croke Park gigs later this year received a welcome boost in their emails this week with news of €20 tickets up for grabs.
Tickets for the band's four Dublin dates were snapped up last summer but the registration for Infinity tickets opened on Wednesday. Coldplay will play Croke Park on August 29 and 30 as well as September 1 and 2.
Infinity Tickets are released for every Coldplay show to make the Music Of The Spheres World Tour accessible to fans for an affordable price.
“They will cost the equivalent of €20 per ticket. They are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser, and must be bought in pairs (which will be located next to each other)," MCD said at the time.
Fans could tap a link in their emails this week to select the shows they want to be put into the draw for with some lucky fans likely to get the call to snap up the cheap tickets after registration closes on May 3.
The email read: "The Infinity Ticket sale for the band's 2024 European shows is approaching. To receive more details and for the chance to get tickets, please select your preferred show by clicking the link below by Friday, May 3 at 10AM CET.
"The Infinity Tickets will cost the equivalent of €20 each (subject to exchange rates) plus applicable taxes and fees and must be bought in pairs.
"The tickets will be randomly allocated and could be located anywhere in the venue - from the back row, to the floor, to seats in the lower and upper levels of the venue. Seat locations will not be disclosed until tickets are picked up in person with a matching photo ID at the box office on the day of the show."
So, fans could still end up getting the best seats in the house despite missing out on the initial sales last year.
