During her time on The Celebrity Traitors, Ruth has been seen as a role model for those living with a disability.
Now aged 29, she had her right leg amputated at the age of 23 after injuring it while playing soccer when she was 15-years-old.
In 2022, Ruth did an interview with the Irish Examiner where she opened up about how losing her leg was the "greatest challenge" she has faced in her life so far.
"I injured it playing soccer at the age of 15. It never healed correctly so until I was 23, I was on and off crutches, getting loads of operations. Because of nerve damage and chronic pain, I chose to get it amputated. It took eight years of my life, constantly going in and out of hospital," she said at the time.
Another of Ruth's most recent adventures saw her star in the live-action remake of 'How to Train Your Dragon' as Phlegma the Fierce.
The film won the Golden Trailor Award for Best Animation/Family movie.
