Naas District Court heard how a man is facing charges in connection to the false imprisonment of a worker at a service station in Athy along with robbery.
The man was arrested at 11.05am on Thursday, in connection to charges of false imprisonment and robbery at Top Oil Service Station, Athy, on November 14, 2017.
Sgt Brian Jacob said that there were no state objections to bail.
He outlined to the court how the accused is charged in connection to stealing €3,000 from the Top Oil in Athy.
Garda Paul O'Shea said that the accused allegedly threatened to kill a staff member.
Garda O'Shea said that the staff were getting ready to close up and had the safe under a time lock.
The court heard how one staff member was taken away by car and that the other staff member had to deliver the contents of the safe when the time lock was complete.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted bail and ordered that the accused obey a daily curfew 11pm and 6am, and reside in Athy, He has been ordered to sign in at Athy Garda Station on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between 9pm to 9am. A Book of Evidence has been ordered for October 25, next.
