BREAKING... Hamish has finally found his owner - and his real name is Tyson!

News is emerging this evening that the owner of lost dog Hamish has been located.

Irish Rail also said that the train stowaway's real name is Tyson.

The mystery commuter from Sallins to Dublin was trending on Twitter today - and more popular than German leader Angela Merkel's historic visit to Dublin or the Aintree Festival.

Tyson is getting micro chipped by the My Lovely Horse charity in Kildare so if he goes a wandering again on public transport again, he can be identified!

He will be reunited with his family this evening.

A number of people had come forward claiming to own him.

He had no collar or microchip, but Irish Rail said he has a distinguishing feature which his rightful owner would recognise.
