BREAKING NEWS: Body found in burned out car on the Curragh Plains

The body of a man was found in a burned-out car on the Curragh this morning, Tuesday, November 14, Kildare gardai can confirm.

Gardai and fire services responded to a call at 9.45am earlier this morning to a piece land on the Kildare town side of Moore's Bridge at the back of the Curragh Racecourse.

The man's body was found in the front of the burned-out vehicle. According to a spokesperson, Gardai are not treating the incident as suspicious and the deceased was taken to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital.

Tonight the scene remains sealed off as gardai prepare to conduct a technical examination of the area.
