Calls to get Interpol involved in case of woman who went missing in Kildare 22 years ago

A Kilkenny TD is to petition the European Court of Human Rights to get justice for the family of missing woman Jo Jo Dullard, 22 years after she disappeared from Moone, Co Kildare.
The then 21-year-old from Callan, Co Kilkenny, is believed to have been abducted from beside a phonebox in the village of Moone on November 9, 1995.
A short time after being seen making a phone call from the phonebox, a woman answering Jo Jo's description was seen leaning in the back door of a dark coloured Toyota Carina type car. There were further sightings of a woman similar to Jo Jo in Castledermot at around midnight. The driver or occupants of this Toyota Carina type car have never been traced. That was the last that anyone has heard from her. When she never reached her destination, her family became concerned and reported her missing to the Gardaí. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a black jacket, white top and black shoes.
Now Deputy John McGuinness is calling on the European Court of Human Rights to get involved and to get Interpol to help crack the case.
"This is a human rights issue, it is about the right of Jo Jo's sisters and relations to get justice for her," he said at a memorial event last weekend.
"They are entitled to be able to give her a Christian burial," he continued.
Fresh appeals were made this year for information on the case, but no breakthrough has been made as of yet.
