Canny Carlow punter lands €75K on 1,500/1 Euromillions bet

A lucky Carlow punter has made an incredible €75,000 profit on an audacious Euromillions bet which came through last night.

In what is the second case of bookmakers Boylesports being hit with big payouts on Lotto bets in the last number of days following a big win in Kildare, the latest winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, picked just three numbers to be drawn in the main EuroMillions draw and saw their bet land when numbers 10, 17 and 44 rolled out of the machine on Tuesday evening.

The canny gambler laid down €50 on the 1500/1 shot for the three numbers to come out, and once they did it provided the punter with a staggering return of €75,050.

The win took BoyleSports’ Lotto payouts beyond the €300,000 mark since Saturday alone, after a Kildare punter landed a €2 bet at 125,000/1 in Saturday night’s Lotto draw winning €250,000.

Lawrence Lyons, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “We’re seeing life-changing sums of money being won on our Lotto betting recently and we send huge congratulations to the Carlow customer who only needed three numbers to walk away with €75,000.”

He added: “The Carlow win rubbed salt in our wounds after we paid out more than €257,000 to a Kildare man who staked just €3 on Saturday night, so needless to say the Lotto numbers have made it a bruising week for us at HQ.”
