Car lies abandoned on M7 for over 5 days

Motorists have expressed dismay that a car has been left sitting on the Hard Shoulder of the M7 near Newbridge since at least last Thursday.

The grey-coloured Toyota is parked on the southbound lane between the M9 interchange and Junction 12 (Newbridge).

"It's taking up the entire hard shoulder because somebody has put traffic cones around it.

"It's a potentially dangerous obstacle to passing traffic whatever way you look at it.

"I would have thought it would be removed by now, either by the owner or the local authority or even the motorway services guys.

"Fair enough if the driver broke down, but why wait five days get it fixed or towed away."
