Queues were reported outside some Aldi stores in Co Kildare for the release of Kevin and Katie's babies yesterday.

Cuddly soft toys - Chantenay, Baby Carrot and Jasper hit the shelves in a limited offer.

People were queuing in Aldi in Kildare Town for the toys priced at €3.99 for a pack of 3.

Parents have seized on them as a handy stocking filler or a pre-Christmas treat.

There was a similar frenzy for Kevin and Katie a couple of weeks ago.

Proceeds from the sales go to charity.

The Carrot family feature in Aldi's Christmas ads.
