Charity 5k walk in Robertstown on Sunday

The Kildare branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland is holding its 17th annual sponsored walk in Robertstown on Sunday.

Sponsorship cards are available from local organisers.

The event starts at Travellers' Rest at 11am on Sunday morning.

Services offered by the Alzheimer Society include person centred-support and care.

The person with dementia and their family is placed at the centre of the service so that they are actively involved in making decisions.

Services include:  National Helpline, Dementia Adviser Service, Mobile Information Service, Social Clubs, Alzheimer Cafes, Family Education Programmes, Family Support Groups, Home Care, Day Centres, Cognitive Stimulation Therapy and Respite Care.
