Co Kildare Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a white Hyundai jeep was stolen overnight.

The 161KE registered jeep was stolen from Esmonde Avenue in Clane.

Earlier this month, two Nissan jeeps and a Ford Focus have been stolen in Maynooth.

It is also reported that a tow truck was disturbed attempting to steal a Hyundai Tucson two weeks ago in Maynooth.

Gardai in Clane are seeking witnesses to a White Hyundai Jeep stolen overnight from Esmonde Avenue, Ballinagappa Rd, Clane. The vehicle 161KE4*** is believed to have being stolen by means of a tow truck.

Gardai believe a tow truck is operating in the area stealing these vehicles most likely for parts. The thefts are happening under the cover of darkness.

People are urged to be on alert for this tow truck operating at night and report all activity immediately to Gardaí.
