Closure for midlands road later this week

A midlands road will be closed later this week for a few days.

From Thursday, November 23 at 10am until Saturday, December 2, at 6pm, the closure on the N51 between Slane and Drogheda is to facilitate emergency ground investigations.

Motorists are being encouraged to take a diversion from  Junction 10 of the M1 motorway (Drogheda North). They are being directed to proceed north west along the R168 for approximately 10km to Collon, Co. Louth, via Tullyallen and Nursery Cross. At Junction with N2, take left turn and proceed south to Slane for approximately 10km.

There will be no through traffic during this period; however, local access will be maintained on public roads adjacent to the retaining wall at all times.
