A seven year old Co Kildare boy showcased his prize winning art in a national competition.

Max Dingley, Monasterevin, was among the best of Ireland’s young artistic talent  at the Ulster Museum in Belfast. The art was on show at the Ulster Museum in Belfast recently when many young artists, all prizewinners in this year’s 63rd Texaco Children’s Art Competition ,were present at the official opening of an exhibition in which their works take pride of place.

Acknowledged as the longest running sponsorship in the history of art sponsoring in Ireland  the competition has been in existence since 1955 and has enjoyed an unbroken history of success.

The judging process is carried out by a panel of independent judges.

Max Dingley's prize-winning work 'Having fun at the St. Patrick's Day parade' took pride of place at the Ulster Museum.
